Some fond memories forever trapped in a photograph.

These are a few favorite moments that translate into some of my favorite pictures.

This was taken at night while longboarding with my best friend, Lina. It was one of those peaceful nights where nothing was stressing us out, and the October air was perfect.  The kind of night you have as a kid.

This is Union Station in Nashville. I had to go take pictures of the Frist Center for a graphic design project. I wasn't looking forward to walking around by myself, so when my parents offered to drive me and make a fun day out of it, I was quite relieved. It turned out to be a wonderful Sunday afternoon. We got lunch at Baja Fresh, and walked around together with our little dog. I wouldn't mind being frozen in these moments.

This is a view from Rocky Top. I went camping with my brother, bf, and a group of our close friends. We decided to hike rocky top even though we had gotten a slightly late start. It ended up being the hardest hike of my life, and we were constantly being told the journey was longer and longer. We finally made it up here, and the hard journey was instantly forgotten. Thats kind of like life, isn't it?

Union Station in Washington D.C.

So noisy and foreign and chaotic, but lovely at the same time. My parents and I were waiting for Taylor (my brother) to come pick us up in that line of cars. It would turn out to be a top 5 family trip.

This is the camping trip again. This is my soon to be Sister-in-law's two sisters and their fiances. That sounds confusing, huh?

My cousin on Halloween. This was a very good Robin Hood costume. We had a small get together of close friends and family (8 or 9 people) and we played a murder mystery game. We all had pretty amazing costumes that we all made ourselves.

Part of the tons of walking my family and I did while in D.C.

Senior Design Shows are groovy?

So yesterday during my senior project class, we took pictures for our promotional website. We decided to go with a 70's yearbook theme, so we jammed out to some classic rock, wore ridiculous attire, and took cheesy photos. It was pretty fun. Here's what it consisted of:

Carpool

Hello. I thought I would post an important factoid:
When meeting somewhere and carpooling with friends, it is important to remember to go back and get your car. Otherwise, you may wake up the next morning to go to work and realize that you are now stranded, and unable to come up with a good reason for not making it to your job.  Not like that happened to me or anything....
Here is something I doodled up last night

The Colorado trip

"Hopefully we will survive."- Wow! I can't believe this was the last thing I said when I mentioned my family and I were going snowboarding in Colorado. We had a rough time on our adventure to survival...This is a small recap of our Colorado trip. First off, we have Shane. He had a rough time...you know, with the bronchitis, the lack of sleep, and the extremely dangerous fracture he suffered on his FIRST RUN on the second day. The first day he also only got one run in because he felt so sick...The night of his fracture, Taylor, Kristin, Daniel and I were all eating a quick dinner in Frisco on our way to the E.R. when Blake called us to tell us that it was worse than we thought. Shane had a dislocated collar bone causing danger to his vital organs. He was going to be transferred to the Denver hospital by ambulance. At this point we hurried to see him in the Frisco hospital. He looked good, and was his normally cheerful self. When the drivers came to transfer him, I got sick and had a panic attack. I was so scared for him. I remember being in almost constant prayer for two days. It was tiring for us all. Taylor and Kristin drove Blake to Denver, and had to sleep out in the van when it was 15 degrees, because there was no room for them inside. I barely slept due to constant thoughts and worries about Shane's surgery which was supposed to happen that night.  I never received a call all night, and texted Blake around 4AM. He told me they were going to wait to do surgery until Monday when they could have a full staff on hand. The weekend went along, and we packed our stuff and headed to the airport minus a cousin and friend. His parents flew out to be with him. Luckily, on Monday night his surgery was finally complete, and he was in recovery. The Denver surgeons gave Shane the award for "Worst clavicle fracture ever seen".  It was a unique case that could have killed him. Shane is such a warrior for The Lord, and I believe that the constant prayer from all of our family and friends could have saved him.  I am thankful for His power. I love my cousin dearly, and am grateful that he is still here with us to be a shining light for the world.
This is Shane before it all went downhill...

It was about to go downhill for him here....

This is my brother!

This is our group! Brother, his fiance, me, Blake(cousin), Shane(cousin), and boyfriend!

Graphic Designs and Illustrations (inspiration)

I have not posted in a WHILE! I went to Colorado. It was absolutely beautiful, however, my cousin had a freak accident while snowboarding, and he suffered a very rare case of a near fatal fractured clavicle. His clavicle was dislocated and pushed behind his sternum causing severe danger to his heart valves, lunges, and major arteries. After this happened, we were all thrust back into the real world again of school, exams, and stress. Its taken me a while to get settled back down. But ALAS! I am here. I have been focusing a lot on my last semester as a Graphic Design student. I spend many hours a week finding beautiful and inspirational work. Here are some things I really enjoy... I will post a Colorado recap next...
